LANCO to Develop Next-Gen Automated Liquid Handling System

Westbrook, ME – [November 2025] – Lanco, a global leader in precision automation solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to design and build a next-generation automated system for high-throughput liquid handling used in Diagnostics applications.

The new system will integrate advanced material handling, multi-channel pipetting, and automated quality verification into a fully enclosed, PLC-controlled platform. Designed to significantly enhance throughput and consistency, the solution will automate key steps that are traditionally performed manually, improving both efficiency and repeatability for the customer’s critical laboratory workflows.

At the core of the system is high-precision pipetting technology, supported by automated loading and unloading. A comprehensive vision inspection suite will verify both dispensing functionality and fill conditions, ensuring robust process quality. The platform also features sensor-guided cart-docking for ergonomics, extending system autonomy and ease of use.
