LANCO Secures Contract for Advanced Automated Medical Device Assembly System

Lanco, a global leader in custom automation solutions, is proud to announce it has been awarded a significant contract to design and build a next-generation automated assembly system for a leading medical device manufacturer. The new solution will support high-volume production of a critical medical product through a fully integrated, highly autonomous, and precision-controlled assembly line. As part of this new contract, there is a proposed agreement that includes a multi-year MoU for several systems to be completed through 2030.

The new system leverages Lanco’s expertise in complex automation to deliver a comprehensive platform with a much higher throughput that combines advanced robotics, servo motion control, precision material handling, inline quality inspection, and secure product traceability. Designed to meet the stringent requirements of the medical manufacturing sector, the solution will enhance production throughput, improve consistency, and reduce manual intervention.

The custom system will incorporate a seamless sequence of automated operations including component feeding, different variants and parts assembly, in-process verification, labeling, welding, and final packaging. Multiple subsystems work together in a synchronized, recipe-driven architecture that enables efficient changeover and reliable, continuous production.
